Malaysia Airlines appoints new marketing chief
Malaysia Airlines has named travel industry veteran Charles D. McKee as head of marketing.
McKee will begin his new role on September 14, MAS said.
McKee was most recently at Canadian hospitality group Delta Hotels and Resorts, which was recently acquired by Marriott International.
He has 27 years experience in marketing and brand management at major travel brands including Air Canada, the Canadian Tourism Commission, lastminute.com and Virgin Atlantic Airways.
The airline also announced the appointment of Nik Azli Abu Zahar as executive counsel who begins work from November 1.
"Both individuals bring with them a wealth of experience that will contribute to Malaysia Airlines’ recognition as one of the world’s leading airlines," said MAS chief executive officer Christoph Mueller.
