Malindo Air passengers isolated in China hotel
All passengers and crew on a Malindo Air flight are holed up in a hotel under quarantine due to a coronavirus infection scare.
All 31 passengers and flight crew on Malindo Air Flight No OD688 were taken to a hotel in Tianjin after three were reported to have a fever.
Two have since been diagnosed positive with coronavirus.
One of them is an elderly resident of Wuhan.
The flight had left Sabah, East Malaysia.
The passengers include 16 foreign nationals from Malaysia and Bolivia.
According to Zhang Shixi, vice-director of Dongli District Health Committee, all are in isolation in the hotel, which has been closed to the public.
They are under strict observation and being cared for by medical staff from a Tianjin Hospital.
