Man trampled to death by giraffe, say police
A man found dead next to his bicycle on a South African game reserve is believed to have been trampled to death by a giraffe, police said.
Braam Bosse, 45, went missing after going on a bike ride while staying at the Thaba Monate Lodge near Bela Bela in Limpopo province with his family.
His body was found in an area densely populated by giraffes by another group of visitors out walking.
"It is suspected that he was killed by a giraffe," Colonel Ronel Otto from the South Africa Police Service told The Telegraph. "They look at the specific injuries that he had, it looks like he was basically trampled."
In March 2013, tourists on safari in South Africa filmed a lone male giraffe chasing and then ramming their vehicle as they drove through a game reserve in the Eastern Cape province.
