Management reshuffle at dnata
Dnata Travel has decided not to scrap the brands of any of the businesses it has purchased since 2012.
After months of planning and review, the Dubai-based group has decided to keep all of its newly-acquired brands, which include Travel Republic, Gold Medal Group, Stella Travel Services and Imagine Cruising in the UK.
"We now have some of the world’s greatest travel brands within the dnata family, and I believe, are on the brink of a new era – one where we become a truly global force in travel," said Iain Andrew, divisional senior vice president of dnata’s travel business.
Under a new structure, dnata has split the business into various segments.
Andrew Botterill, Stella Travel Services UK chief executive, now oversees B2B Europe.
This includes Travel2, Gold Medal, and The Global Travel Group.
Gold Medal managing director Steve Barrass will take on a new role looking after all supplier relations.
Ian Simmonds and Neale Chinery, joint heads of Travel Republic, will head the B2C Europe division, which includes Netflights, Travelbag and Sunmaster.
