Weekly low cost flights from Manchester to Tel Aviv are to start in May.
Tickets on the Jet2.com service start at £70.99 including taxes, claimed to be the lowest fares from the UK to the Israeli city.
Flights start on May 21 with a second weekly connection being added in October.
The airline’s chief executive Philip Meeson said: “Tel Aviv is an extremely popular destination and we are confident there will be a huge demand for this service. As the only direct route from the North, we are in an unrivalled position to offer both the lowest ever fares and fastest service into Israel.
“This route launch is extremely significant for Jet2.com and emphasises our drive to continue to innovate and expand our reach into a variety of countries and markets.”
