Marriott signs four new Thailand hotels
Marriott International is adding more than 1,600 rooms in Thailand after signing four new properties.
It will introduce a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Thailand’s first JW Marriott Marquis hotel and two Autograph Collection hotels over the coming years.
It signed an agreement with Asset World Corp Plc.
The Ritz-Carlton Reserve Bangkok will take shape at Asiatique the Riverfront in central Bangkok and is slated to open in 2027.
It will feature 124 guest rooms.
JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Asiatique Bangkok is also expected to welcome guests by 2027, and will have over 1,000 rooms, meeting spaces and a spa.
"This agreement is a testament to the confidence owners and franchisees such as AWC have in Marriott International. We are excited to play a role in AWC’s vision of expanding its diverse portfolio of hospitality and lifestyle projects in Thailand," said Craig S. Smith, Marriott’s Group President, Asia Pacific.
Marriott also revealed two Autograph Collection hotels – Asiatique Bangkok and Asiatique Pattaya.
Both are scheduled to open in 2024.
Marriott International currently operates 45 hotels and resorts in Thailand, including nine with Asset World Corp.
