Mask mandate imposed on Island Princess
Princess Cruises has reactivated its mask mandate -but only for one cruise ship.
It updated the mask policy on Island Princess due to positive cases of Covid among guests and crew.
It was brought back ‘out of an abundance of caution.’
“We recently identified some positive cases among our guests and teammates. They are all asymptomatic or only mildly symptomatic,” the line said in a note to guests
Close contacts have been isolated and are being monitored by the ship’s medical team.
During the current voyage, mask must be worn when not eating and drinking.
They must also wear them outdoors when physical distancing is not possible.
Island Princess is on an 18-night transatlantic voyage arriving in Southampton on June 13.
