The Victoria Racing Club (VRC) has released general admission tickets for the 2013 Melbourne Cup Carnival through a new partnership with Ticketek Australia.

Tickets can be purchased through the Ticketek mobile platform, which includes mobile site and iPhone app.

Racegoers will also be able to select mobile ticket delivery to receive their tickets via SMS, and will simply need to present their mobile ticket at Flemington for entry.

Melbourne Cup Carnival general admission ticket prices remain at last year’s prices. The VRC will again offer free entry to children under 16 who are accompanied by an adult on all four racedays.

The four-day Melbourne Cup Carnival commences with AAMI Victoria Derby Day (November 2), followed by Emirates Melbourne Cup Day (November 5), Crown Oaks Day (November 7) and Emirates Stakes Day (November 9), with over 350,000 racegoers expected to attend.
