Melia signs New Vietnam hotel
Spain based hotel group, Meliá inked an agreement for a new Vietnam hotel.
Situated in Ha Long, it unlocks iconic Ha Long Bay, one of north Vietnam’s top tourism hotspots.
Meliá Halong Bay is set to debut in 2027 with 240 rooms and 302 serviced apartments across two towers.
The Vietnam hotel will house four restaurants and bars, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
The brand’s YHI Spa will also be part of the new property, along with 2,000 sqm of event Space.
The Ha Long project is the next step of Melia’s expansion.
The hotel group has 23 Vietnam hotels either operating or under development.
This summer the group opens Gran Meliá Nha Trang, Meliá’s most luxurious hotel to debut in Vietnam to date.
In the next few years it will open Sol by Meliá Cam Ranh Bay, Meliá Nha Trang Beach Resort, and Meliá Quy Nhon Beach Resort.

“With this addition to our portfolio our guests can visit popular destinations from North to South and know they’ll receive Spanish warmth and hospitality.”
Ha Long Bay comprises more than 1,000 picturesque limestone islands.
Meliá Halong Bay is owned by investment company Hanoi Halong Tourism Company.
