Michigan does Motown
Pure Michigan pulled out all the stops to host some of its industry partners with a red carpet experience at the UK Premiere of the new ‘Motown the Musical’.
Motown greats such as Smokey Robinson and Mary Wilson from The Supremes were in the audience of the opening night at London’s Shaftesbury Theatre.
Pure Michigan’s guests walked the red carpet and met with Berry Gordy, one of the show’s producers and the founder of the Motown Record Corporation in 1960.
After dancing in the aisles during the high energy show, Pure Michigan co-sponsored the VIP opening night party at 100 Wardour St.
Pictured here with some of the VIP party-goers are Dave Lorenz, vice president of Travel Michigan, Larry Alexander, president of Visit Detroit CVB, Toby McCarrick, executive director of Great Lakes USA, and Berry Gordy.
