Mirvac hotel for the Great Ocean Road
SYDNEY – Mirvac Hotels & Resorts will take over management of the Deep Blue hotel on Victoria’s Great Ocean Road from July 1, when it will be rebranded under the group’s Sebel brand.
To be known as The Sebel Deep Blue Warrnambool, the resort will join Mirvac’s portfolio of 43 managed hotels and resorts across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, predominately under the Sebel branding.
Less than three hour’s drive from Melbourne, The Sebel Deep Blue is positioned on a peninsula between Lady Bay and Stingray Bay in Warrnambool, the largest city on the Great Ocean Road.
Comprising 75 guestrooms including eight suites with spa baths there are also six 2 & 3 bedroom fully self-contained penthouses.
The resort’s positioning on top of a natural mineral aquifer, 800 metres underground, enables The Sebel to provide geothermal room heating, as well as supply to four mineral-rich, private hot deepwater pool rooms in the Bath House and gymnasium.
