Monarch offers agents discounted fares
From June 28, 2007, award-winning low fares airline Monarch is giving all registered travel agents using its dedicated travel agent website, www.flymonarch.com/agents, access to its lowest public web fares.
Commenting on these changes, flyMonarch.com managing director Liz Savage said, “The travel trade is of great importance to Monarch and I believe these changes to the dedicated travel agents website will be very well received. Not only will agents using this website now enjoy the standard minimum online fare discount of £5 per one-way flight but it also means they will have full access to our regular online discounts and promotions, giving them greater opportunity to sell our scheduled flights to their customers and promote more competitive fares.”
At the same time, the airline will be withdrawing the account facilities on bookings made through the website meaning all web bookings will now need to be fulfilled at the time of booking via debit/credit card transaction.*
The dedicated travel agent website allows agents to create a profile with Monarch meaning saved time when making a booking and all bookings can be tracked. Personal details and e-mail preferences can also be easily managed and online functionality can be accessed such as check-in, changes to reservations and Vantage Club. To create a profile simply log on to www.flymonarch.com/agents and click on ‘register now’.
Monarch operates scheduled flights to Spain, Gibraltar, Portugal and Cyprus from Aberdeen, Birmingham, London Gatwick, London Luton and Manchester airports and was named as Leisure Airline of the Year in recent Travel Industry Awards.
