Monarch resolves Cosmos website problems

Monarch Travel Group has confirmed that Travelbox, a dedicated travel trade website for three of its brands, is working properly again after it temporarily slowed down.

Agents had complained last week that access to the site had slowed and the operator blamed the problems on high demand.

"Agents may have experienced some problems at peak times when demand was at its highest but we worked quickly to resolve these and login is now immediate," said a spokesman,

"Having a lot of demand is usually a nice problem to have, but we recognise the inconvenience this caused and we apologise to all agents that were affected."

The site, which brings Cosmos Holidays, Avro and somewhere2stay into one website for the first time, was launched in June 2014.

Monarch said agents have booked some 30,000 customers through the site since it was launched.

To celebrate the first six months of trading on its new website, Cosmos is running a competition to win a holiday for two to Greece, a pair of flight tickets and a Kindle tablet.

All agents booking on www.cosmosagents.co.uk between 10 January and 28 February will be entered into a free prize draw. Full terms and conditions will be posted on the agent website.
