Saturday, 20 Sep, 2010 0

Montego Bay in Jamaica will host the annual Caribbean Marketplace, a two-day, trade-only event on January 16 and 17 next year.

About 1,400 delegates are expect to attend the event, to be held at the new Mo’Bay’s convention centre, located on Jamaica’s north coast.

Hotels, attractions, destination management companies, restaurants, tourist boards, airlines, car rental and ground transportation companies will be meeting with buyers from worldwide tour operators, conference and incentive organisers and wholesalers to negotiate rates and promotions for 2011 and 2012.

The event is staged by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association which represents private sector tourism suppliers from across the region. Sponsors include Virgin Holidays and Mastercard.

Buyers interested in attending should contact CHTA’s UK representative, AMG Ltd, on 020 8487 9881 or go to www.caribbeanhotelandtourism.com and click on the Marketplace icon.
