More ports of call for Sun Princess New Zealand cruises
Princess Cruises is offering Australians the chance to journey around New Zealand, with a series of Sun Princess cruises exploring the coastline of the Land of the Long White Cloud. The 77,000-ton superliner will sail on four round-New Zealand cruises during her debut Australian season in summer, with each cruise calling at a record eight Kiwi ports – more than any other cruise line.
Princess Cruises has added an additional port of call to the already extensive New Zealand itinerary – the North Island’s Napier, known as one of the world’s foremost Art Deco cities after it was almost completely rebuilt in the 1930’s following an earthquake.
Sailing from Sydney, the 14-night cruises will first visit the majestic Milford Sound before heading to historic Dunedin and Christchurch on the South Island, and Wellington, Napier, Tauranga, cosmopolitan Auckland and the tranquil Bay of Islands in the north.
Passengers will save up to 40 per cent on cruise fares by booking before February 28, 2007, with the New Zealand cruises starting from $2697* per person complete twin and departing on December 5, 2007 and January 19, February 10 and 24, 2008.
Carrying 2000 passengers, Sun Princess will be the largest superliner ever to be based in Australia when she arrives in November 2007 for a five-month season of cruises from Sydney.
Featuring more than 1000 suites, minisuites and staterooms – including more than 400 affordable private balcony cabins – Sun Princess will deliver her passengers more choice, with onboard features including eight restaurants and cafes, nine bars and show lounges and four swimming pools. Other Sun Princess itineraries include two 28-night circumnavigations of Australia, an eight-night Tasmanian cruise, and three South Pacific sojourns including Christmas and New Year sailings.
Round-Australia cruise fares start from $6995* per person complete twin or passengers can choose to combine the cruise with the round-New Zealand voyage for the ultimate Australasian experience from $9673* per person.
South Pacific fares are available from $1749* per person while cruising the stunning east coast of Tasmania on Sun Princess starts from $1701* per person.
