Wednesday, 26 Feb, 2016 0

Two dozen travel businesses have been included in the London Stock Exchange’s list of 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain.

The 2016 list includes Advantage Travel Centres and Travel Counsellors as well as several small to medium-sized operators such as Brightsun Travel, Broadway Travel, Discover the World, Golf Breaks, Jac Group, Kenwood Travel, Naturetrek, Red Sea Holidays, Sunspot Tours, Sykes Cottages, Viking River Cruises and Villa Plus.

Xavier Rolet, CEO of the London Stock Exchange Group, said the report identified ‘the UK’s most exciting and dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises’.

The report highlights 1,000 of the fastest-growing SMEs in the UK. To be featured, companies must have shown growing revenues over the past four years and they must also have outperformed peers in their sector.

Congratulating the companies listed, Chancellor George Osborne said: "The businesses and entrepreneurs in the report are a fantastic illustration of the UK’s pioneering, entrepreneurial spirit and our nation’s capacity to produce world-class innovation."

The full list is available from the London Stock Exchange.
