Myanmar to encourage conference visitors with visa on arrival
Myanmar is relaxing its visa regulations and will offer visa-on-arrival (VOA) to conference attendees and transit visitors from 27 countries.
The new arrangement will apply to visitors from ASEAN, Australia, China, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, North Korea, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the UK and the US.
Visitors from these destinations will be able to receive a 70-day business visa for US$50, a 28-day entry visa for meetings, workshops and events for US$40, or a 24-hour transit visa for US$20.
Available only at Yangon International Airport from June 1, it is planned for the VOA to be available at Nay Pyi Taw and Mandalay airports.
