MyTravel share rise follows Jansen resignation

Travel and tourism shares saw mainly minor movements as London’s main equity indices marked time.

 

The FTSE 100 index gained just 2.2 points to end the day at 4493.2, while the FTSE 250 had a similar session, adding 11.7 points to close at 6142.3.

 

Carnival added 35p to close at 2555p after releasing impressive second-quarter results, while MyTravel added a quarter of a penny to end the day at 8.75p, following the resignation of chief operating officer Philip Jansen
