New accessories for tiniest travelers
pb travel’s new products include soft seat belt protectors, a fold and go changing pad and a baby toiletry bag — all with a teddy bear motif.
“The new pb baby line is made of the softest, highest quality fleece in light shades of pink and blue,” says the Miami-based company.
Other fashionable new items are the round, leather area code luggage tags, which prominently display one’s hometown area code on one side and city name on the other, with a flap on the backside to include contact information inside or a business card.
In addition, a luxurious two-ply cashmere throw has been introduced. It can be worn as a ladies shawl or a blanket in the plane, train or car and is available in gray, beige and burnt orange.
All items are being introduced at the 60th annual Travel Goods Show, February 27-March 1, in Las Vegas.
“The more stressful travel becomes, the more comfortable we strive to make it,” said pb travel COO Margherita Blanc.
The original pb blanket was launched in 2004 after recent studies and articles suggested most major airlines did not launder their blankets and change their pillow covers often enough, making covering up a risky undertaking.
Passengers could potentially be exposed to anything from head lice and E.coli to other nasty bacteria and viruses, which could make them very ill.
Most recently, many major airlines have curtailed the use of airplane blankets and pillows.
