New CEO for Jetset Travelworld
Executive Chairman, Brian Wild has announced that the Board of Jetset Travelworld Limited has appointed Michael Reed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
Mr. Reed will take up his position on 28 August 2006.
He joins the Company from Air New Zealand where he held the position of General Manager Australia, responsible for sales, marketing and airport operations.
During this period, he managed the restructuring of Air New Zealand’s Australian operations, reducing costs and significantly increasing revenue. He also has a strong background in aligned industries in particular travel franchising, hotel management and computer reservation systems.
Mr. Wild says he will bring a well-rounded set of skills to the Jetset Travelworld organisation at a time when the dynamics of the industry are changing dramatically and quickly.
The current CEO of the Company, Joe Esposito, will be returning to Melbourne to spend more time with his family and to pursue other business interests.
