New codeshare expands Virgin’s Brazil services
Virgin Atlantic has signed a new codeshare agreement with GOL, Brazil’s largest domestic airline, ahead of the launch of its new London to Sao Paolo service launching on March 29 next year.
Tickets for Virgin’s new Sao Paolo flights will go on sale next Tuesday.
The new codeshare with GOL will allow passengers to connect from the London flights onto services to 37 destinations across Brazil including Rio, Brasilia and Recife.
The two airlines plan to expand their codeshare further in the near future with the addition of flights to Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. They are also planning to launch a reciprocal frequent flyer programme soon.
Virgin will operate a daily service between London Heathrow and Sao Paolo using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
