New director voted in at Worldchoice
Worldchoice has a new director after Helen Burgess (Purser’s Travel) was voted in at this year’s annual elections.
She is joined by John Lawrence (Deeping Travel) who was re-elected to the board to serve a third two-year term.
Chris Bailey (Bailey’s Travel), who handled the consortium’s membership services, lost out to Ms Burgess in the vote.
Chairman Colin Heal thanked Bailey for the work he had done both in membership recruitment and retention, and also in furthering the Worldchoice foreign exchange scheme.
Each director is elected by shareholders to serve a period of two years. Elections are held for two out of the four directors in rotation every year. The other directors are Colin Heal (chairman and managing director) and Keith Wilson (sales and marketing director), both of who were re-elected in 2004.
The results were announced to Worldchoice members at an AGM in Peterborough.
