Two extra sailings on Oasis of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship, have been scheduled for December next year.

A seven-night inaugural Eastern Caribbean itinerary, sailing on  December 5, 2009; and a four-night mini cruise departing on December 1, have been added.

Passengers booked on the original inaugural sail date of December 12, 2009 can move their cruise forward to the new December 5 date before the sailing opens to the public for booking on January 12.

Those choosing to sail consecutively on both the December 1 and 5 voyages also will receive a $200 onboard credit per cabin ($300 onboard credit per suite) and they will be re-accommodated in the same stateroom and category.

The cruise fare for the December 5 sailing will remain unchanged. Passengers wishing to sail on the four-night voyage will receive a prorated fare, the company said.

The December 5 cruise on the 5,400-passenger ship will see calls at St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and Nassau in the Bahamas.

The four-night itinerary will call at the revamped private beach resort of Labadee. Oasis of the Seas will dock at a new pier which is currently under construction.
