New North American manager appointed at Fiji Airways
South Pacific carrier Fiji Airways has named Olaf Kaehlert as regional general manager for North America.
Kaehlert reports directly to executive general manager of sales and marketing Otto Gergye and brings over 15 years of experience in business development, marketing, and sales.
He joins Fiji Airways from Korean Air, where he served as general manager for Latin America and has previously held posts at Mexicana Airlines and the Los Angeles Convention & Visitors Bureau.
"In his new role, Kaehlert will spearhead sales and marketing campaigns as well as public and media relations activities within the North American market," said Stefan Pichler, Fiji Airways managing director and CEO.
Additionally, he will support various international assignments in order to penetrate new markets abroad and we plan to leverage his extensive knowledge of the industry. We are confident that he will contribute to the growth and development of Fiji Airways."
