New service allows small meetings to be booked online

Meeting planners can now book small get-togethers online and receive immediate confirmation through a new service offered by OnVantage, a meetings technology provider.

“Currently, corporations that have invested in the creation and on-going management of corporate travel policies and facility-sourcing agreements have little visibility and control over the frequency, costs and compliance associated with small meetings,” said chief executive John Chang.

He said the company’s new EasyBook is designed for small meetings of fewer than 50 attendees, which is where the vast majority of corporate meetings fall.

EasyBook is available in several major metropolitan areas and OnVantage intends to have it available in 36 cities by the end of the year.

Planners book rooms through EasyBook much as they might reserve individual guest rooms online through travel bookers such as Expedia. A search returns hotel listings with availability and rates. Planners are reserve rooms immediately.
