New technology guide for hotel industry
UK based travel technology consultancy Genesys has produced a technology review aimed at the hospitality industry. The report provides details on 70 reservations and distribution technology suppliers worldwide. The company claims that any hotel or accommodation provider should be able to use the guide to make a shortlist of suppliers best suited to their needs. However the report does not compare systems. Genesys senior partner Paul Richer explained this was not possible. He told TravelMole: “We can’t do that sort of comparison review because you need to know a company’s particular requirements. One person’s great system could be absolutely lousy for someone else. One operator might not consider anything without viewdata while another might have a web-based approach. It really does vary.” The review is priced at £49.50 plus postage. For more details see www.genesys.net/HRTR Genesys also produces technology reviews for travel agents and tour operators.
