Going on holiday can undoubtedly make many people do the strangest things, with holiday romances top of the list for many. But one German woman has gone to great lengths to prove that a dance-floor fling in a ski resort disco was more than just a three-minute wonder. According to the online news provider Ananova, the unnamed German woman managed to track down her dance partner from a club in St Anton, Austria, after writing to some 340 men with the name Carsten. The woman is quoted as saying that she would have written to the remaining 1,100 Carstens in and around Copenhagen to ensure that she found the right one. Ananova reports that the Danish newpaper, Politiken, had offered to help the Bavarian woman, but that her letter-writing campaign had proved successful in its own right. The woman, who had danced with the man just once at the bar in question, is reported as saying that she had enjoyed a “really nice chat” on the telephone, and that she is hoping to fly to Copenhagen soon.
