No hidden charges for Galileo hotels

Sunday, 02 Mar, 2005 0

Galileo says its agents won’t have to spring any nasty surprises on their customers when it comes to the cost of hotels thanks to a new product.

The Cendant-owned GDS has launched Complete Pricing, a solution that ensures the price agents are quoted for a hotel is the full price, including taxes and surcharges, and totalled for the entire stay.

Cendant Travel Distribution Services chief operating officer for international markets, Chris Vukelich, said: “By eliminating “surprise charges” or confusion where rates may fluctuate in the same booking, our agents can provide a clear price for the whole stay at time of booking thereby enhancing the value that they add to their customers.”

The product is only available on hotels that agree to participate, which so far includes Supranational Hotels, WizCom and Pegasus Solutions.

But Galileo says it hopes all the 240 or so bookable hotel chains available via the GDS, will come on board eventually.
