Norse Atlantic hails record load factor
Norse Atlantic Airways posted strong revenue growth for the first quarter of 2025 driven by a record 95% load factor.
The best ever load factor was fueled by a 51% year on year increase in passengers flown, while average revenue per passenger was up 5%.
It resulted in a 23% increase in revenue.
The airline cities a successful delivery on its ACMI strategy with IndiGo, India’s largest world’s largest airline, boosting fleet management efficiency.
“2025 has started on a positive note with a world-leading load factor of 95%, significant volume growth and increased revenue per passenger,” said CEO Bjørn Tore Larsen.
“The improvements are a function of Norse Atlantic’ new commercial strategy and continuous focus on operational efficiencies.”
The airline now have a fleet of 12 787-9 aircraft.
“These form a strong base for further improvements based on our dual leg model with ACMI charters reducing our market risk.”
The ACMI agreements with IndiGo for up to six aircraft have become firm contracts.
They support efficiency gains through maximum utilisation of the aircraft fleet, Norse Atlantic says.
This leaves Norse with 11 aircraft operating its own scheduled network during the summer ahead.
