Norwegian Cruise Line cancels South Africa sailings
Norwegian Cruise Line announced cancellations of several South Africa cruises from this week.
The line cancelled sailings on Norwegian Jade from 3 December.
A total of five South Africa cruises were scrapped through 26 January.
"The safety of our guests, crew and communities we visit remains our highest priority. We continue to closely monitor the evolving global public health environment and are ready to adapt as needed," it said in a note to guests.
It is a response to the Omicron variant which was first discovered in southern Africa.
Azamara is due to sail southern Africa cruises in January and is monitoring the situation, and will contact booked guests if any changes are necessary.
