Oasis Hong Kong appoints UK boss
Former Kuwait Airways business development head Gerard Clarke has joined long haul low cost carrier Oasis Hong Kong Airlines as general manager UK & Ireland.
He was formerly senior commercial manager with Emirates, with responsibility for network sales and commercial marketing for eight years.
Clarke will assume the day-to-day direction of the UK & Ireland commercial activities, handled by Aviareps’ sales development team.
Aviareps senior general manager Andrew Hoskins has overseen the launch and build-up of commercial activities. Hoskins will now focus again on other responsibilities within Aviareps, primarily Bangkok Airways.
The airline’s head of international distribution Lesley Hagan said: “I would like to thank Andrew Hoskins for his contribution in bringing us through this first vital stage in our development and we look forward to Gerard Clarke’s guiding hand to take us into the next phase – working closely with our UK travel trade partners to bring the Oasis Hong Kong Airlines low fares to even wider distribution.”
