Online travel platform On the Beach is making fundamental changes in the business and says some jobs are at risk.
The company says some customer-facing and backend roles my be lost as it streamlines some business operations.
CEO Shaun Morton confirmed has started for employees impacted by the downsizing.
Morton said some of its operational functions will be further automated.
“As we continue to invest in technology to support our future growth, some of our processes can now be automated or streamlined,” he said.
“As a result, we are proposing changes which may put some roles at risk. We understand this is difficult news for those affected and will support them fully.”
On the Beach currently has a workforce of several hundred and it hasn’t said how many people’s jobs are at risk.
The company has been profitable and forecast another rise in revenues for 2026.
However, it has dropped its 2026 profit guidance due to the uncertainty of the ongoing Middle East conflict.
