On the Beach to shut down Classic Collection
Travel platform On the Beach announced it will close its B2B brand Classic Collection.
It came in a trading update ahead of its results, and to enable ‘an orderly wind down of the B2B segment.’
“The board has taken the strategic decision to commence wind down of Classic Collection which made a small loss in the year.”
It will allow it to ‘focus on the higher growth potential of the B2C business trading as On the Beach.’
”The B2B segment will be presented as discontinued operations in the final results.”
OTB acquired Classic Collection seven years ago
On the Beach said summer 2025 bookings were up 12% on 2024, and winter bookings volumes are strong, with a similar percentage increase.
However, summer 2026 bookings are seeing a later booking trend, ‘increasingly closer to departure’.
On the Beach CEO Shaun Morton said it recorded total transaction value revenues of £1.23 billion, which marks a double-digit increase on last year.
