Online travel agency ceases trading after being slated on forums

Online travel agency Travel Click Holidays (www.travelclickholidays.co.uk) has ceased trading weeks after complaints about it began appearing on customer forums.

The Civil Aviation Authority has issued a posting on its website saying the Enfield firm, which sold package holidays and flight-only trips, has ceased trading with immediate effect.

The company’s own website is just a homepage with a message saying: "Website is currently being updated. We apologise for any inconvenience."

An ABTA member with a small ATOL licence, the agency had become the subject of a number of complaints on a holidaywatchdog.com forum in the last month.

Customers claimed they had paid for holidays and received no further information and said when they complained the company had been rude and dismissive.

Some said they had booked with Travel Click Holidays through other websites and via email alerts, such as Secret Escapes and Travelzoo.
