Operator adds Ethiopia for 2017
Titan Travel has added Ethiopia to its portfolio for 2017.
The operator said it was ‘constantly seeking out new and culturally exciting destinations for its tours’.
The Ethiopia option is a 13-day Scenic and Cultural Treasures of Ethiopia tour which includes the iconic rock churches of Lalibela and ‘Lucy’, the three million-year-old remains of man’s first ‘walking’ ancestor, the Simien Mountains, home to the ‘bleeding heart monkeys’, the Blue Nile Falls (pictured), the ancient obelisk of Axum and the fortress of Gondar.
Titan product manager Africa Phil Ellis said: "It’s clear there is an increasing desire for more immersive and adventurous tours. So we set about creating itineraries of this nature to places such as Colombia, Uzbekistan, the foothills of the Himalayas and most recently an Ethiopian adventure. Ethiopia has a raft of cultural and natural highlights to discover.
"Tourism in Ethiopia is in its infancy and therefore travellers discovering this magical land will naturally be the more adventurous type but, with more people visiting and reporting back overwhelmingly positive stories, it is a destination which is only going to grow."
Departing on selected dates between February and October 2017, prices start from £2,949 and there is a dedicated solo travellers option on May 11.
Also in the Titan 2017 programme is a seven-day Winter Palaces of Russia tour taking in Moscow and St Petersburg and the exclusively chartered four-star river cruise vessel Serenade 1.
