Orlando drop tower closing down for good after teen’s death
The tower drop ride in Orlando which caused the tragic death of 14-year-old Tyre Sampson will be removed.
The Missouri teen died just months after the FreeFall ride launched.
Sampson was well over the maximum weight limit and fell during the ride.
Tyre Sampson family filed a lawsuiit alleging negligence and failing to provide a safe amusement ride.
The owner Orlando Slingshot said it will take down the ride and will create a scholarship in the teen’s name.
