Outbound Japan travel market is shrinking
While inbound travel is taking off again, outbound Japan travel is rapidly decreasing.
Over one-third from Japan never plan on taking a trip for leisure ever again, according to a survey.
Over 16,000 adults in the Americas, Europe and Asia were asked about their intent to travel.
The Morning Consult 2022 State of Travel and Hospitality report unearthed some surprising results.
It found 35% of Japanese won’t go on holiday again.
Travelling days are over for about 15% of South Koreans.
In Europe, the French were most travel averse with 10% never again planning to travel.
The report predicts the decline in business travel could be permanent, especially in Europe.
