Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa opens
Outrigger Hospitality Group has formally welcomed Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa into its beach resort portfolio.
It did so with a traditional Hawaiian blessing and ceremony this week.
It is perched above the lava-rock cliffs on the Kona Coast of Hawaii’s Big Island, and spans nine hectares.
It is marking the occasion with introductory rates of up to 30% off, available on Outrigger.com.
"Outrigger has provided heartfelt hospitality in Hawaii for nearly 75 years and our commitment to Hawaii remains steadfast. We’re proud to invest especially amidst challenging times," said Jeff Wagoner, President and CEO of Outrigger Hospitality Group.
It houses more than 500 rooms and suites, a Ho’ola Spa, a wedding chapel, fitness centre and two restaurants.
It also features an oceanfront pool and Outrigger’s Coral Kids Club, which is scheduled to open later this year.
It also has more than 9,290 sqm of function space including the largest ballroom on the Kona Coast
Steve Solberg, the resort’s new General Manager, said: "I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of this resort’s next chapter and work alongside a dedicated team."
