Pacific Sun to shine on Australia Day
P&O Cruises’ Pacific Sun will anchor in Sydney Harbour during a special Australia Day short break cruise next year.
The cruise ship will begin her three-night cruise on January 25, sailing out through Sydney’s heads before returning to anchor at Athol Buoy, near Mosman, for the Australia Day celebrations.
Pacific Sun passengers will watch the annual Ferrython, a 21-gun salute and a RAAF aerial display, with fares starting from $399 per person quad share.
The cruise ship will sail across the harbour later that day to take up a prime position for the evening fireworks in Darling Harbour.
Said Jenny Lourey, senior vice president of Carnival Australia,
“It’s the first time P&O Cruises has scheduled a cruise allowing passengers to experience Australia Day from the heart of Sydney Harbour and we think it will be an amazing day and night for all onboard Pacific Sun.â€
