Park Holidays for sale
Park Holidays, one of the UK’s largest owners of caravan and holiday parks, has confirmed that it is on the market for about £200m.
Majority owner Graphite Capital, a private equity firm, has hired accountants Price Waterhouse Cooper to find a buyer.
The company, which owns 25 caravan and holiday parks in southern England, has benefited from the growth of the ‘staycation’ during the recession and last year generated an operating profit of £15.2m.
It was bought by Graphite, owners of Kurt Geiger shoes and the Groucho Club in Soho, in 2006 from co-founders Jim Watson and Peter Bull. Watson retired but Bull remains a director.
