Passenger detained after threatening to kill everyone on flight
An Alaska Airlines flight was forced to return to Seattle Airport after a scary in-flight incident just after take-off.
A male passenger became ‘physically aggressive’ and threatened to kill everyone aboard the plane, the airline said.
Alaska Airlines said he was ‘extremely belligerent and physically aggressive during the ascent.’
He can be seen yelling ‘I’m going to kill everybody on this plane. Die in the name of Jesus!’ in recorded cellphone footage.
He was subdued by cabin crew and two passengers, one of which is an off-duty Chicago police officer.
The flight then landed without incident and passengers were accommodated on the next flight for Chicago O’Hare.
The man, who like other passengers was wearing a face mask, was taken into custody and booked into jail pending further investigation.
