Passenger injured on turbulent flight dies
A passenger injured due to turbulence on a SpiceJet flight several months ago has died, the airline said.
Akbar Ansari suffered spinal injuries on the flight in May.
Ansari died last month of ‘sepsis in shock caused by polytrauma with spinal injury’ according to the death certificate.
SpiceJet said it ‘extended all possible assistance’ including paying for all medical expenses.
It added ‘compensation is being paid as per norms.’
A second passenger on the turbulent flight was hospitalised with a head injury.
