PASSPORT APPLICATIONS

Saturday, 24 Jan, 2008 0

I am writing to voice my concerns with regard to the Post Office withdrawing the Worldchoice members Passport Application Service. In this respect, I do appreciate that the Post Office have always dealt with passport applications, but previously Worldchoice members have taken some of the burden of checking passport applications (which at times can be a lengthy process) from the Post Office. I cannot help but wonder how the Post Office will cope with all their normal duties, such as the public buying stamps, renewing car tax, senior citizens collecting pensions, issuing travel insurance, etc., and feel that this will only exacerbate the problem of long queues in post offices. Especially, in view of the fact that many of the smaller post offices are being closed, and this will therefore put more pressure on the remaining Post Offices. No doubt facilities will be provided for people to queue outside the post office!! All I can say is watch this space!
