Philadelphia has been chosen as the host city for Brand USA’s MegaFam fnale in May 2015.

Next year’s Brand USA MegaFam, in partnership with carriers American Airlines and British Airways, invites 100 of the most productive travel agents from the UK and Ireland to 22 US states before the finale takes place in Philadelphia.

"We selected Philadelphia as a unique American destination that offers something for everyone regardless of their ages and interests," said Alfredo Gonzalez, SVP global market development, Brand USA.

"We are also very excited to supply travel agents with the knowledge and assurance they need in order to sell more of the USA as a holiday destination and to ensure the United States is kept top of mind – with both agents and their customers."

Chief executive of Brand USA Chris Thompson said by the end of next year’s MegaFam, 43 US states will have been covered.

We’re taking the UK travel trade into states that have not been showcased to this level in the UK market. They tell us they are seeing things they never knew existed and would not have found on their own," Thompson said.

"We saw 5,500 incremental flight bookings in year one as a result of the joint effort, year two that leapt to 12,000, and our goal for year three is 15,000," he added.
