Pitbull named as godfather to Norwegian Escape
International music sensation Pitbull has been named as godfather to Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest ship, Norwegian Escape.
He will perform at the christening ceremony at Port Miami on November 9.
Escape will be Norwegian’s largest ship and will be based year round in Miami.
"Pitbull has been an excellent partner and great friend to Norwegian Cruise Line," said president Andy Stuart.
"A Miami native, he epitomizes and contributes to the energy, excitement and local flavour that our ships so proudly embody and we’re excited to build upon our relationship and have him serve in this special role as Godfather to Norwegian Escape."
Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Perez, also performed at the christening ceremony for Norwegian Getaway in February 2014.
