P&O Cruises to homeport ships in St. Kitts
St. Kitts is deepening its relationship with P&O Cruises.
The Ministry of Tourism announced that from November 2027, St. Kitts will offer homeporting operations for the cruise line.
Thousands of fly-cruise travellers will start and end their cruise holidays in Basseterre, and generate major opportunities for the tourism industry, says Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew.
“The introduction of homeporting in St. Kitts marks a pivotal moment. Each ship that docks brings new opportunities for our people, our economy, and our culture to flourish.”
President of Carnival UK & P&O Cruises, Paul Ludlow hailed the homeporting partnership.
“We are delighted to be adding St Kitts as an additional turnaround port for Iona, marking an exciting evolution of our Caribbean fly/cruise programme. This development reflects our ongoing commitment to working closely with our destination partners,” Ludlow said.
St. Kitts can be reached from London Gatwick via twice-weekly, direct scheduled flights on British Airways.
