Ponant expands UK sales team
French-owned cruise line, Ponant, has appointed two new members to its UK & Ireland team.
It says the appointments reinforce its commitment to the UK market.
Pierre Hernandez joins as UK central and north sales developer.
He was previously assistant account manager in the business development team of AccorHotels’ loyalty programme.
Vladislav Saveliev, previously regional sales manager for G Adventures, joins as UK south account manager.
At Ponant he will be in charge of building and growing relationships with key accounts in the south of the UK.
Both will report directly to Nabil Maillard who was recently promoted to UK and Ireland market manager. He previously covered the whole territory and retains the Greater London, Scotland and Ireland regions.
The UK & Ireland sales and marketing team is headed by international sales director Stephen Winter.
Winter said: "The expansion of Ponant’s UK team is further proof of Ponant’s long term commitment to the UK market. With this new team we will be able to work even more closely with the UK travel trade and continue to spread the word about our new ships, new itineraries, new products and our very exciting partnership with National Geographic Expeditions."

The cruise line will launch seven additional small ships over the next three years.
