The Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA West will participate as one of the support race events at the inaugural V8 Supercars Austin 400 in Austin Texas, May 17-19.
Featuring Porsche 996 and 997 GT3 Cup Cars, the series currently races in California, Utah and Oregon.
"The Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA West series was extremely popular with racing fans during the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix and we look forward to hosting them again," said Circuit of the Americas executive vice president Bruce Knox.
"Competent Motorsport and Porsche Motorsports North America have raised the bar through the development of this unique racing series, and it will be a great addition to the V8 Supercars Austin 400."
The series gives fans the opportunity to see the latest Porsche factory race cars up close.
These cars are produced on the assembly line in Stuttgart, Germany, with the latest technology, and they eventually lead to the development of consumer Porsches seen day-to-day.
This is the seventh season for the Competent Motorsport race series and is one of only 22 single-make series for Porsche Motorsports in the world.
