PR role for ex-Cresta marketing head
Fromer Cresta Holidays sales and marketing director Jane Williams has made a return to the industry by joining a public relations company.
She has take the newly-created role of marketing director at travel and leisure specialist Beacon PR – which used to handle Cresta.
Williams left the short breaks operator at the end of 2004 as part of a restructure at parent company MyTravel.
She said: “After more than 20 years in the industry, my year’s garden leave was a welcome break, but I knew I would stay in travel.
“I worked closely with Beacon when they were Cresta’s PR agency – so I know just how great they are at their job and what a good team they have.”
Beacon founder director Linda Moore said: “Jane’s considerable experience in both B2B and consumer marketing brings additional skills to the Beacon team which can only benefit our clients.”
