PromPeru and Tucan get together
The official Peruvian Government Tourism Agency PromPeru will join Tucan Travel in promoting Peru as a key Latin American travel destination when they visit Australia in March, with PromPeru visiting Australia as part of the Sydney Holiday & Travel Expo (held on March 24 -25) to play a major role in promoting Peru to the travel industry and public.
Tucan Travel will have a presence at the PromPeru stand and will support the tourism agency by actively advertising Peru as a tourism destination and giving away a Tucan Travel Discovery Tour to expo participants who enter the draw at their stand.
Tucan Travel Sales & Marketing Manager Richard Leonard said PromPeru’s visit signified growth in Latin American tourism. “Peru has always been a hotspot with adventure travellers and our figures show that, in recent years, numbers have only been increasing as awareness about this fantastic destination grows. We are thrilled to be working with PromPeru on their first visit to promote Peru in Australia to Australian travellers.
Additionally, PromPeru has offered key support for Tucan Travel’s twentieth birthday celebrations in March this year.
“Their decision to join us in celebrating our twentieth anniversary is also a sign that Latin American adventure travel is gaining significant momentum in the industry.
PromPeru will be offering a unique photographic exhibition for Tucan Travel to display at their exclusive twentieth birthday event as well as a variety of relevant merchandise to give away to patrons.
“We hope that this will be the beginning of a long, fruitful relationship between PromPeru and Tucan Travel in which we jointly push the profile of Peru as one of the destinations of adventure travel globally.” Mr Leonard said.
